Hall Of Fame – John Hill

John Hill (Buck Stark Award)

Mr. William C. (John) Hill is most recognized by the members of the TSSA as our Secretary / Treasurer. John has served the organization for 13 years in this capacity. During his term in office, John has been instrumental in making many improvements to the TSSA. He started the website with the help of Mike Skidmore, improved general communication with members using e-mail, developed and improved the shoot calendar we all use today, devised a method of showing winner lists on the website using emailed shoot report data, added many names to the life member rolls, and increased our total assets from $65,000 in 1995 to $170,000 in 2008.

John has been a friend and consultant to many of the TSSA Presidents and Shoot Chairmen, keeping all of us headed in the right direction.  He has been a wonderful resource.  We can all thank Mike Cusack for bringing John to the TSSA as Secretary / Treasurer since Mie was the one who told John that he could be a big help to the organization.

Finally, having shot over 155,000 lifetime targets, John has always been a giver!  He began shooting in 1972 and became involved in running shoots in Tyler the following year.  He has been working to do things for others ever since.  A member of eleven TSSA All State and four All American Concurrent Teams, John is truly a winner!  Congratulations to you, John, for a great career.
