Lynne Dersham

Lynne Derham of Richardson, Texas started shooting skeet with her husband, Dick, in the mid 70’s at the Dallas Gun Club, She excelled at shooting from the start, making the Texas State Ladies Team in 1977, followed by 16 more times in her shooting career. Lynne was named Ladies Captain twice. Lynne also made the NSSA Ladies All American Team a total of 7 times, beginning in 1978.

Lynne won a total of 12 TSSA State Ladies titles.  She won the Ladies 12-gauge, Ladies 20-gauge, Ladies 28-gauge, Ladies .410-bore, and the Ladies HOA at the 1986 Texas State Shoot.  Yes, that’s correct – EVERY EVENT!  Lynne won the Ladies 12-gauge World Title and HOA Ladies Runner-Up in 1984.  Skeet was a family affair for a few years as both daughters, Teresa and Angela, shot with Lynne and Dick.  Both girls shot well and each hold Texas Ladies .410 titles.
 
Besides being recognized for her shooting achievements, Lynne is a pleasant person on and off the skeet field with a smile and kind word for everyone.  Congratulations, Lynne!  You are certainly deserving of the Texas Hall of Fame honor.
